From this day forward - 25 years later

We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary on Tuesday June 29,2010 with dinner at the BlowFly Inn with the children. It has been the first time in 10 years that I was not at a baseball game on my anniversary and the only reason we were not at a game is because of a rain out due to Hurricane Alex.

Twenty-five years - the silver anniversary. One-quarter of a century spent together. Silver is the metal most noted for the twenty-fifth anniversary due to its radiance and brilliance. Radiance and brilliance...hmm

As I look back at our wedding photos seeing how young - perhaps radiant - we both were and fast forward to more recent years I notice beyond the obvious physical changes (not big hair for me, a little less for him) we still have a radiance and brillance about us.

Some of that radiance and brillance is shown through the two beautiful children we've been blessed with - one just like you and one just like me except that they are perfect most of the time (at least in our eyes). We had eight glorious years together before our family grew to three. But what a wonderful addition he made. Nearly eight years later we added on to the family with a beautiful little princess.

We've seen many changes through these 25 years. God has always been faithful to get us through the rough times - more than I ever would have dreamed He could be. You've loved me through some of my worst times without fail.

As we grow older and face new challenges it amazes me how strong our love is for each other. When I think I can't love you anymore, I do. I still do even more.

Happy Anniversary my dear sweet husband.
